Join us for our 3rd Annual Swift Campout! This year we're heading to Tolt MacDonald County Park in Carnation, WA for a stellar weekend of riding, camping and drinking whiskey by the fire. We'll put more miles under our wheels on Saturday, and head out of town southbound for a really beautiful 50 mile ride. On Sunday we'll start with a laid back morning at camp and take the short way home (35 miles). Our ride will end at the Central District Chuck's Hop Shop for a post-ride barley-pop.
Camping We reserved the group site at Tolt MacDonald County Park so that satellite pods can all meet in the afternoon for a large group campout. Please bring $5 in cash for camping and fire wood
Food Bring your own cook kit and food! We'll be camping 1/2 mile from a grocery store, so feel free to grab dinner and breakfast goodies en route. We'll be meandering through farming communities and usually cruise by farm stands along the way.
The Riding We're sticking to pavement for most of this route. Our ride is the perfect dose for first time bike-campers and seasoned cyclists. Please come comfortable with riding in traffic, moving in a group, and able to comfortably ride 30+ miles. If you haven't ridden with weight on your bicycle, we highly recommend taking a spin or two all packed up before solstice weekend! If you're craving more grit to gnaw on, check out the Gravel and Grit route that adds the Thrilla Route to the ride out.
